Problem: a winter full of casseroles, baking and entertaining has left your pantry in great disarray. From soups and cake mixes to spices and cereals, stuff is strewn around from here to there. Luckily in a few hours with a few neat items from your local store, or maybe even from lying around your house, you can once again be clutter free in your pantry.
Start by tossing expired food and donating those items that you don’t foresee consuming in the near future. Next sort food items by category; for example have designated areas for breakfast foods, canned goods, snacks, beverages, baking supplies, etc.
Wire selves, organizers or even overturned boxes can help display foods for quick and easy access. Utilize extra space on the floor or the top shelf by adding additional shelving to easily stack kitchen accessories, appliances, baking ware, bowls, etc. Hooks or shelves attached to the pantry door can be a great space saver for items like grocery bags, sauce packets, spices and more.
Enjoy cleaning the pantry and remember, once it’s done, you’re one step close to being finished your spring-cleaning.
